Wow. I have never in my 4 years of working for Ford, have I seen a 7.3 turbo blow.

The 7.3 is an amazing engine. I have never done anything major to one. A fuel injector here and ther but that is it. Sometime the oil pans start leaking, and you have to remove the engine to reseal it, but that is about it. I've seen the 7.3s with 400,000 plus miles, and still going.

They had an issue with the camshaft sensors too. That is a 10 minute fix though, and was provided for free by Ford, as a recall.

Yeah, everyone here keeps saying that it rare for a 7.3 to lose a turbo that soon.
Do you ever work on any of the old 4.9's?
