Two good ones; one Italian the other Spanish
#1
If you can find these buy them.

1. Azienda Agricola Lohsa Morellino Di Scansano, 2004
Lots of plummy fruit followed by velvety leather and sweet tobacco with some hints of mushroom and dry leaves on the palette. The second or third drink reminded me of Play-Do. That is right, you know when you were playing with Play-Do and licked you fingers, that salty Play-Do taste. That goes away and opens up to a big wine with lots of violets, plums and goodness.

2. Utiel-Requena Vera De Astenas, 2000
I don't have as good of tasting notes on this one. It blew me away though.

Both wines sold for about $20 each. I would recommend drinking these with food, they are not cocktail wines at all. Something big like beef, lamb or venison; I think they are too much for pork, duck or pheasant and would roll right over them.
