Torque app for Droid, and other stuff.
#1
So I finally got a chance to use this a little bit. Plugged the seperatly bought, vehicle data reader into the dlc. Opened the app on the phone. Bluetooth connected, and I had live vehicle data. That quick. I'm very impressed.

The amount of different data options to view is right up there with most scan tools used by pros.

Its a little slow to respond. But whatever. For example you tap the throttle, rpms go up, but it takes half a second or more to register on the phone.

I think there are settings to adjust for that. Haven't gotten that far.

It uses GPS and motion sensors in the phone to calculate performance type of stuff too.

Even if you know nothing about what all the advanced data means, a person would be happy with just the basic functionality of the app.

Looks like you can input specific variables, calculate estimated fuel use with that info, then monitor it in real time.

Like I said, I'm very impressed with this so far. I bought the cheapest adapter on the market, just in case it was stupid. 35 bucks for the adapter, 5 bucks for the app.

I will be buying the better adapter soon. 100 dollars. I read the cheap 30 dollar ones don't last long.

You ever wondered how many gs you were pulling around a corner?

I have.

This tells you, shit it shows you. Has a g force graphing map like on a high quality racing gane
