Pims - Pokes28 - 07-01-2010 While in London (at Wimbledon) the wife and I saw the drink they were selling in mass quantities was called "Pims Classic." We had to try one. I was blown away at how good it was. Pims is a British liquor that has some of the qualities of Gin (which I normally hate) but is really quite nice. The "classic" is the concoction. They put in mint, lime, lemon, strawberry, and cucumber (weird right?) and then a measure of the Pims and then topped with sparkling lemonade. It was light and refreshing with just a hint of alcohol taste. We ended up drinking several and tried them at places all over London. Pims is for sale here in the States. I highly recommend making up a pitcher of it for your July 4th fun. There are a lot of Pims recipes that can be found online. Re: Pims - LeNeve - 07-01-2010 alchoholic drinks usually don't appeal to me, but this one sounds pretty refreshing, and tasty. |
