I wanted to name the thread "Whadya buy this weekend"

T mentioned that she was shopping this weekend and was going to discuss it today. Whadya buy this weekend is one of my top 10 all time re-occurring C&R bits. I have bought several things off the guys recommendations and the recommendations of callers.

I bought a bunch of stuff this weekend. Still spending that tax return.

Friday when I got home, my new laptop mount for the car was in. :happy: I have been without one since I got my new car in September. It's a ram mount. Not this ram Confused

I need to loosen the bolts on the front of my passenger seat to get it on, and of course the largest socket I have is 1/2", and it needed the next size up 5/8" I think it is, so I went to home depot Saturday and bought a set of sockets. I got home and the female part on the socket was twice the size of any male part on my wrenches and drills. :Flaming: I have to go to home depot today again and get another part to put in the wrench so it will fit the socket.

Saturday I went to Best Buy and got some stuff.

My wireless router at my house is an 8 or 9 year old DLink, a piece of shit. So I figured that it was time to update.

I did a little research and talked with some peeps at Best Buy. I decided upon the Lynksis Cisco E1000 wireless N router. It was on sale for $59. I was considering the duel band for $150, but figured, do I really need a gaming band AND a laptop band? When I am gaming I am not using the laptop, and these days I am lucky if I get on the Xbox a few times a month. I have not hooked it up yet.

I also got a few other things at Best Buy:

1. A Frigidaire wine cooler for $99.99. MY old one died around thanksgiving. It is a nice much nicer model, the old one was like $40 and was a generic brand. The only thing is, this one is only and 8 bottle, and the old one was a 12 bottle. But all the 12 bottles I found were either poor quality or way overpriced.

And look at that, it's on sale this week for $15 less. :Flaming:

2. A Rocketfish USB home an car charger. On sale for $19.99. This is use full for me mostly in the car. It can plug into the wall or a car lighter port and will charge via USB. I have a few things for work, and my ipod shuffle, that only charge via USB. I have a USB port in my car already, but it only links stuff to the radio, it doesn't charge. Pretty cool item.

We also got our new refrigerator delivered on Thursday and I saw it for the first time Friday.

SO far it's nothing but amazing. And the old frig is in the garage and already half full of beer. I love having a beer frig. :beer:

I have been shopping and pricing refrigerators for about 2 years. I am glad that is finally over.

I also went to Home Depot Saturday and got:

1. two 18" 5 shelf plastic racks to organize the basement.

2. A charcoal caddy, basically a garbage can looking bucket to store charcoal in.

3. A bucket vac - shop vac you can use a bucket for the storage area.

That's the meal I had at Red Lobster, except I substituted shrimp scampi for the pasta and asparagus for the broccoli. Two types of Lobster :happy: Rock Lobster and Maine Lobster in one meal!!!

Oh and I had Buffalo Wild Wings Sunday night.
