SiriusXM Lynx - Joe - 12-03-2012

I got the Lynx over the weekend and so far it's a pretty bad ass radio. I know a few of you mentioned it at one point so there's a few things to keep in mind before getting it.

- It says portable, but it requires a dock to use satellite. Portable is only i43f you are on wifi. (Requires an internet subscription)
- You have to have an XM account. They'll close your Sirius account and open an XM one. That means you get XM stations and not Sirius stations. (Howard Stern, NFL, NASCAR, etc) You can get them for $3 or $4 extra a month.

I really thought about getting that a while back, it looks sweet.
But I had a chance to get a cheaper radio for free, and I went with that to put in my car.
And I use an old phone to listen at work.

And it sucks about the Sirius or XM stuff.
If you have both, you don't get the multiple radio discount.

I have good intentions of cancelling my sirius subscription. The antenna cord for my stiletto broke a while back and I was too busy to get a replacement and then just stopped listening to it all together. I do not see myself in the forseeable future subscribing again.
