You don't get a name much more easy than mine. Sweet!

I didn't think my name was that difficult, but plenty of people have screwed it up.

Re: People With Easy-To-Pronounce Names More Likely To Succe - LeNeve - 02-13-2012

I wouldn't think LeNeve would be hard to pronounce, but I'm always amazed by some people. Mostly salesmen. They will add letters that aren't even there.

Greg Behrent does a great comedy bit about his last name. Dead on. I totally relate. I can't even spell his name right.

I will dismiss someone as illiterate if they totally butcher my last name. If you can sound a word out you can get pretty close, so when I get a Lebean, or Lenervo dropped on me, I'm done.

If I'm unsure on pronouncing someones last name, I ask them.

I don't know how JDubb's last name is pronounced properly.

I also like unique last names. Usually I like the people with them too.

Chris Haley, do you need insurance?

Is the article talking first names or last names?

I agree on hard to pronounce, or weird first names. Or normal first names spelled wrong. Stupid parents naming kids weird shit.

Hence why I will never achieve greatness... I am German so the "ei" in my last name is pronounced "i". It is mispronounced all the time.

My last name is one syllable and the name of a damn bird. People misspell it and mispronounce it all of the time. It's not a difficult name at all.

Let's hope so in my job search. Driving 105 miles a day blows.
