Freakonomics - Rydrum - 01-27-2012
Freakonomics, its on Netflix now.
It is a series of documentaries by different film makers on different topics, (black & white names, abortion & crime, cheating on tests & in sumo wrestling, incentives for HS students). I think it is sort of intended to be shown in classes 1 piece at a time to facilitate some discussion- so it doesn't watch like a real movie if you are viewing it straight through.
Before you dismiss it because it looks nerdy (i.e. because I suggested it), give it a shot and just watch a segment.
I think a bunch of you guys will find it really interesting.

Well the nice thing about the movie is, it was produced after the book and so it has some reaction to criticisms (on abortion & crime) and a lot more on the Sumo story.
The Book is really good for the first 4 chapters but after that it is pretty slow (SuperFreakonomics is better).
