2002 Henschke Louis Eden Valley - Pete Nice - 07-25-2009 Had this white with diner tonight. Kind of old for a white. The PA Nazi's were selling it on the sale clearance shelf a month ago, so I picked it up for like $9. Kind of dry for a white. And not the best after taste. I still do not trust twist tops either, even though some good white Bordeauxs have twist tops. This wine is Australian BTW. It was average at best. I would not recommend it, there are much better options out there for the same price or less. probably why it was on the clearance rack. The picture actually looks like it's a 2000. The bottle for the 2002 is taller and thinner with a shorter peak. Here is the write up for the 2007 http://www.henschke.com.au/wines/?wine=3 Oh yeah, and Pokes, there I don't think there was any "supple tanons" |
