oh god...........
This is the most miserable song of that time for me. I was dating a girl, that was a major slut, I was totally in love. I would wait for her at her house, (she was always out banging other dudes). I would sit on her couch, waiting for her to show up, listening to fm radio, and it seemed like they played this 2 times every hour. I was always thinking, "hear I am counting cars, hoping one of them will be hers". I would wait until 4-5 am, sometimes alot longer. That chick wrecked my perspective on relationships.

This one and One Headlight by the Wallflowers had to be the most overplayed rock songs in the mid 90's.

I thought of Blind Melon, but I hated them so much.

These guys had a huge following, but I think they only had one mainstream hit.

Third Eye Blind - Jumper

Re: 90's rock one-hit-wonders - Joe - 01-28-2011

It's odd to consider Mad Season a one hit wonder because of Layne Staley. Great song.

I'm pretty sure this might have been the first song I ever heard while smoking weed. Breckenridge Colorado, at my friends house. His family was jewish, and his Dad was a Doctor. His Dad was also divorced, and was always on internet chat rooms. Back then, internet was unheard of pretty much. Total different internet back then.

Side note: I always stole the weed from my Dad's stash, then later on, this friend and I were searching through his Dad's stuff, and found weed too.
