Bit Comet, I have never used, but I have scowled over the others more times then I care to count!!! I dread that update notice for Acrobat!! Re: 5 Apps You Run That Suck, and 5 Replacements That Don't - Texas Fan - 07-22-2009 I have convertx to dvd, imgburn, and adobe acrobat 8 professional, I use utorrent, and use WinRAR instead of winzip. I only use itunes to sync my iphone and ipod touch, usually use winamp to play music, or vlc media player. So I guess i am ahead of the game! Re: 5 Apps You Run That Suck, and 5 Replacements That Don't - Joe - 07-22-2009 I just switched over to OpenSuse Linux on my desktop and run most of those open source apps on my Vista machine. Re: 5 Apps You Run That Suck, and 5 Replacements That Don't - Brian - 07-22-2009 This is really useful. I'm gonna have to try the alternative for Adobe Reader, that program is a beast. Open source definitely seems to be the way to go, especially for an OS. Re: 5 Apps You Run That Suck, and 5 Replacements That Don't - Texas Fan - 07-22-2009 I have dl/ed linux, but I dont think i could get my mapping programs to work on it so I havent bothered trying to install it. Maybe I'll do it on my home computer.. Re: 5 Apps You Run That Suck, and 5 Replacements That Don't - Pete Nice - 07-22-2009 Open source, linux are you :tool: s talking about? |
