According to reports he refused medical attention after being bitten in his Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus Name in Middlesboro, Kentucky and died shortly thereafter in his home.

my grandpa got bit by a poisonous snake. He wasn't holding it though. he dropped a piece of mail or something, and when he picked it up a snake bit his thumb. he was a doctor, so he just treated himself. He was sick for a couple days, and stayed in his recliner.
