If I say I don't like something about the show, I truly don't like it, and I would tell them in person. I don't like American Idol. I called them once in like 2007 and told them to move the fuck on b/c American Idol is gay. I am not a fan of the Wiener games song, first one I just am not feeling. They can't all be hits right? If there is a subject that does not interest me, I will state so. Not everything is going to be everyone's cup of tea. But I won't harp on it and I won't create negativity just to be negative. And I don't say anything about the show that I would not say if I was in studio.
I think we REALLY need the sarcasm smiley back, as that might clear up some of this. Also, we could use a smiley holding sign that says, "that was a joke". The problem with the internet is you can not tell if someone is fucking with you or not unless you really know them, as some of us know each other here, but Covino and Rich are not on here enough to really know when we are being sarcastic or joking. Those smiley's might make things a little easier to interpret.

yeah. It's really hard to judge someone over the internet. Like you said we have all been goofing around long enough to know what's actually being said, between us on the forum.

It's also really easy to jump onto the negativity bandwagon, and then it just starts snowballing from there. Like picking on a nerd in high school. You didn't really want to do it, but you didn't want to look like a pussy either. then you feel bad for being mean. Those feelings fester, and you turn negative, without even wanting to.

I think we can blame alot of the recent negativity on Iva's boss. Iva's boss fired the other people, and Iva can't be on here as much to keep us in line. I'm being totally serious too. It sounds weird, but it's true. She has always been the voice of reason on this forum.

The negativity comes in spurts and it always seems to be when Covino decides to read the forum. It does snowball, especially when Iva or I am not here to keep you guys in line. I have said it before, speak your mind, but there is no reason to create negativity when it is not called for and there is not reason to harp on it for 15 pages. Unless you use a sarcasm smiley.....

So I was thinking, for the first 6 to 8 months of DBN, there was a ton of anti-TOMB talk going on. Now that there is basically peace between the two forums and we like almost all the guys over there, even if they choose not to participate here b/c we are not quoted on the air, 90% of DBN negativity needs to be placed somewhere else. As a result, it goes to the show, deserved or not. Maybe we should start hating on TOMB again..........
