I have to admit I am & for a long time been a Bourbon man. I might delve into other liquors for months at a time but Bourbon is always my first love. Maker's Mark probably being my personal favorite.

Just this month Maker's has released in most markets Maker's 46 their first foray into a new product. 46 doesn't refer to the number of years but to the number of oak staves used after the barrel matures. It is a bit more on the smokey side I personally think but is still sweet and smooth although 46 is 94 proof opposed to the normal 90 proof. Just wondering if anybody else has had the pleasure of trying this new offshoot or even what is your favorite Bourbons?
I have never had either, but Makers Mark is on my todo list. I am really not a bourbon guy, more of a scotch guy if anything on the whiskey side.
I like rum.. spicy rum.
I'm not a scotch guy at all. I just don't like the Iodine taste.

When it comes to whiskey's I like them in this order:

1) Irish Whiskey (triple distilled) - I like Bushmills
2) Canadian Whiskey (light yet flavorful) - Seagrams VO
3) American bourbon whiskey - Maker's Mark is good

I'll have to buy a bottle of 46 for my father in-law. He'll love it. Perhaps for X-mas we'll all be drunk before 10AM again this year.

1. Yummy, I prefer Tullamore Dew.
2. Eh, not really.
3. I need to try it more, really only know Jack.
