So who here is like 90% sure they are going to be there?
Probaly not me. That's a pretty big chunk of money, and I'd rather (hopefully fingers crossed), spend any extra money on a hot rod engine this year.

Paying for a vacation has always seemed strange to me. You pay for memories of stuff basically. If I'm going to drop thousands of dollars on something, I want it to be something I can enjoy 24/7. Maybe one of these days when I am not broke then yeah....

Yeah, it's a lot easier for me because I can drive there. I'm only planning on spending a night too.
I will definitely be going, so all you guys can take out your TOMB frustrations on me in person... looking forward to meeting you all...
I am still in the process of convincing Jim. This is going to take awhile.

Damn, I think I ran out of TOMB frustrations.

I am 94.7% sure that I will be there.

I actually found a really reasonable hotel in Manhattan called the Gershwin Hotel http://www.gershwinhotel.com/ .

We went in and looked around. Younger crowd. Clean, nice and interesting.

They have 10 bed dormitory style for like $39 a person per night. They have 6 bed dormitory style for $49 a night and 4 bed dormitory style for $59 a night.

My wife is not going, so I would be up for throwing together a dormitory room with some people, preferable a 4 bed. Once you get out of dormitory style, single bed room prices jump up to $167 a night.

BDH, we should get a 6 person dorm room at the Gershwin hotel and when we come home at 4AM drunk we can have impromptu cage matches.
Note: If you snore, I will not be sharing a dormitory style room with you. I mean all out snoring, if that's you, let us now know.
I just ran a quick reservation check on that hotel, a 4 bed dormitory for one person who would stay from Tue May 31 to Sunday June 5 would be $338.51 INCLUDING taxes and fees. This is pretty damn fucking good, seeing as the hotel I was going to stay at was going to cost that for two nights.

Joe, you should go Thursday night and stay until Sunday. Trust me, you will not regret it, I will be there that entire time.
Another thing, if anyone plans on going later in the week, like the Thur to Sunday I recommended to Joe, I would be willing to in the 4 bed dorm just those night in order to get the a C&R orr DBN full room. I could use points to stay somewhere else Tue and Wed.
I'm going for sure. I'll probably just stay in Hoboken/Jersey City again; I have a $50 off thing on Priceline I was going to use.

Yeah, you definitely don't want to be in a dorm style with me. I snore so bad I stop breathing.

So do you take the train in from there?

Yep, PATH train to NYC and the MTA from there. I suppose I spend more money doing it that way ($4.25 each time I go to Jersey instead of $2.50), but the area is nice.
