We had that really high wind too. They finally got it under control late last night then stayed on site to get the hot spots to avoid flare ups.
They evacuated the area but saved all the houses and the golf course.

How far away was your place from it?

14 miles north from our place, 12 from town and 8 miles south of my sisters cabin and my dads house. They said it burnt about 3/4 of a mile going northeast.

So my 12-13 hours days explain my awesome life.
Oh, wait, I don't have time to drink that much.
