So Saturday night I checked a weather alert on my phone.
It said there was a winter storm warning from 1 am to 7 am.
What it didn't tell me was that the warning was from 1 am Sunday, to 7 am Monday morning.
I got a good 18".
I did make it out Sunday and swung into the Home Depot parking lot, turned my traction control off and had a blast getting used to AWD in the snow.
I could have made it into work yesterday, but my boss wasn't going to be able to. So I got a nice long weekend.

I'm so bad with weather. I'll go grocery shopping and it will be a mad house and I won't know why.

I went grocery shopping Saturday night, and it was crazy packed and all the shelves were empty.
I just assumed it was because of the Super Bowl.

I have Weatherbug on my phone. I heard it was supposed to be bad in Detroit, but I heard far less snow than that. We were supposed to get about 4" and wound up with 10" of snow.

I sent Jim out during the storm to get milk. I try to plan ahead for that shit, but it doesn't always work that way. I have been trying to keep a better food supply on hand in the winter though, so there's no reason to rush out.
I can walk to the store if I need to in a snow storm. Never had to yet though.

I need to hit up the gamblers I know and see if they can score me free tickets. Soaring Eagle at least used to do that with those who frequented there. Actually, it would probably be about the same drive to go to Windsor as Soaring Eagle would be for me.
