I think i remember that. That sucks. We were paying like $185 a month for cable internet and phone.Plus my nextel bill was close to $100/mo. That's too much. Had to get rid of hbo and the hd channels. I miss true blood though. You always get scammed with b.s taxes, fees and service charges
TV Tax?
I've gone to Ontario fishing just south of Ottawa and I noticed that the local CBC station Ch 11 in Kingston would show CBS shows if they weren't showing CBC shows.
I don't even bother with cable. I get local stations of the roof top antenna or watch shows online.
I pay almost $70 for satellite per month. I don't get hbo or any of the movie channels, so I miss out on a lot of good shit. They're showing a lot of commercials about this tv tax and it's bullshit. I've looked into getting all sorts of different tv offerings but they all amount to roughly the same amount of money so I just stick with my bell. To add insult to injury, we can't even watch shows on the U.S. sites because of licensing agreements so hulu, NBC, abc etc are all unavailable.
I have satellite (Bell) that I don't pay for, we have HBO and all the movie channels. A friend used to date this chick and we programmed our box at their house then brought it over to ours and paid them some money... They broke up and she won't return my calls or phone so we don't pay.

does your system get zapped? I know some people who don't pay for theirs but whenever there's a big ppv fight they get zapped that day and they usually have to wait until the next day to reprogram it. I wouldn't mind having every single channel for free but I also don't want to go without any tv either, even if it's for just one night.

That free satellite scam was huge in the late 90's until about 2002 here in the states. Then they zapped that shit and it don't work anywhere any more.

We don't get PPV and some other random channels. The chick who we get our satellitte actually pays the bill, until the moment that she stops well then... I won't have satellite anymore.
As for hacking in, my brother in law's older brother can hack through it. They have a hacked satelitte at their house, the cabin and gave one to my dad.
If you know a Bell Express Vu guy, you have the hook up since they don't use the cards anymore.
I pay 90 a month for my programming, and its still better than paying for cable. For the same thing in cable it would cost me 40-50 bucks more a month.
When I saw I was already being charged that "tax" I got pissed, but they told me I had no choice. I asked if I could cancel the channels that it applied to but they said you cant. Its only about 1% of my bill, but still, why should I pay for those fucks. Its hard enough to survive in this economy. :bullshit:

But thats with everything, HD movie channels, sports channels etc. Up until I was 15 I only got 2 channels cause I lived out in the country. CTV and CBC. CTV was and is alright but I fucking hate the CBC....with the exception of Hockey Night in Canada. It costs the Canadian taxpayer billions to keep that cock sucking piece of shit company rolling, and for what? The programing is the absolute worst. The news is just socialist bullshit. The movies are lame, and all the T.V. shows are just spin offs from Anne of Green fucking Gables......fuck Anne of Green Gables!
