What would you do if you came into enough money that you never had to work again.
Maybe you won the lottery, pattented some great invention,started a really profitable franchise...whatever
If money was not a concern (within reason) what would you do with the 1900 + hours a year of free time you suddenly had?
Buy a really nice shop, and fix up cars. Chip Foose style. Maybe try to get into NASCAR as a driver/owner.
I would buy a new house with a big garage and build cars with my Dad.
Build and indoor batting cage, golf every morning
Drive race cars & post more on DBN.

I would buy a condo in NYC, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Moscow and Miami. I would keep my current house and just do some upgrades.
I would buy a small, but new and nice inexpensive second house outside the city with a ton of flat land and build the most kick ass baseball field ever, with stands, dugouts and clubhouses. I would build a kick ass football field, also with stands, and clubhouses. I would build a full gym and athletic workout facility. It can't be too far outside of town though, I have to be able to get there within 15-20 minutes. Oh and I would have an ice hickey rink with some small simple bleachers, even though I can not skate, and a deck hockey rink with some small simple stands also. Of course outdoor hoops and an indoor full hoop court in the workout facility.
I would have my own semi-pro baseball team in the summer in Pittsburgh and recruit players. I would have my own minor league football team, like the one I played on until a few years ago, and pay the coaches a good weekend wage, the players like $50 to $500 a game depending on their skills and position, and pay per diem and travel. I might also start a simple basketball, deck hockey and ice hockey league.
I would travel two weeks a month. Just go someplace and hang their for two weeks. I would spend the other two weeks at home in PGH playing sports and hanging with friends.
I would have 5 kids. Three boys and two girl. Born boy, boy, girl, boy, girl. I know you can not choose the sex and order they are born. With life the way it is now, I would never have more than 2 kids b/c that would be too much of a financial strain. They would go to the best private schools and the best athletic camps.
I would open a bar and not care about making a huge profit, just enough to pay the help and keep it open without going into the red.
I would build a bomb shelter at the country house. A real good one. set up and stocked to survive ANYTHING for 20 years.
I would zombie proof all houses.
I would buy a castle in Canada. It would be zombie invasion fall back.
Helicopter.
Motocycles, 3 of them, 2 for me, 1 for the wife.
Jet Ski's.
Boat, but not a big one or one that screams, "I have a small penis" Just a decent boat to chill on.
There is tons more, but the biggest thing is traveling with the wife. Two weeks a month spent wherever the fuck we want to go, just relaxing and doing what we want. Sampling food, hitting the beach, going to nightclubs, snorkling, scuba diving, etx.
I've thought about this before and I think that I would pay off all of my familys bills so that they could live debt free or at least until they rack up the bills again. I would help all the shelters in town so that they could go at least a year without struggling and all the homeless would have some good food for that year, I would also donate my time to help serve the homeless to make me thankful for my new found fortune. I would put myself and wife through college so that we can still work but doing something that we love. Then I guess I would buy a slightly bigger house just because ours now is a two bedroom and we have kid number three on the way, so we could use the room. After that I guess we would just live our lives going to a job that we love.
I'd move south buy a house with a lot of wooded land to roam and a big garage. The place would have ATV trails and ponds in the woods. I'd keep the house I have here as a place to stay when I come back to visit. I'd also do a lot of traveling all over the world. I'd also pay off not only my depts but also my families depts.
Just thought of something else. If I was Donald Trump rich I'd try to get ownership of SiriusXm. The first thing I'd do is open a channel for the dudebros. Covino And Rich would get a five hour show every weekday.
I would buy the farm house where I grew up, my family made my dad move out and sell it after my Grandma died.
I would buy a new Challenger and a new camaro... They look bad ass in yellow.
And I would travel. I love going new places and meeting new people.
Oh and I would buy one pair of converse shoes in ever color... And Paul... This must be on your list too! ;-)

I would keep my current house, have a house in the south and have a house farther north.
Buy new snowmobiles to have at my new place in the north.
Buy a fishing boat to have at my place in the south.
Travel a lot.
And, of course, more preparation for the zombie apocalypse.
Let's see... First and foremost, I would pay off any and all debts. Buy a nice piece of property and built the home of my dreams (surrounded by a wide moat and cement wall for protection from zombies, of course). Buy myself some classic muscle cars for fun. Get one of those massive RVs and do a few cross-country road trips. Set up a trust fund for my nieces, and also set up some smaller bank accounts fro my immediate family (gotta share, but I will only provide them with a set allowance under the provision that they do not discuss my new found wealth with other family/friends, don't need unwanted beggars bugging me). Get a cabin built up around the Traverse City area. Will seriously consider building that castle/fortress in Canada...
I might also buy myself a few racehorses and try to win the Kentucky Derby.
Definitely do some traveling to places I thought I would never be able to see.
I like to work, and I am going to need something to do when I am not occupied with having fun. So, I will go to college, finish my degree and rack up a few more degrees (like accounting, so I have better understanding and full control over my funds). And I will most likely set up some sort of charity to give back to those who a struggling to survive.... it would be like a Secret Santa, but on a bigger level. Find families who are having a rough go of it and take care of them for a month to give them a boost (help them get a job and get on track) or something like that.
Some of you guys are really making me look materialistic. I would do charity stuff also, within reason. I would also get a ton of degrees. A few different masters, maybe like 5. Then I would get at least one PHD. I plan on doing this anyway, but only 2 masters and 2 PHD's.
I would not technically work. My work would be my passion, sports and travel. Running the sports things I mentioned, which would all be private for me and friends and maybe a few paying customers btw, would be my job. I would pop in on my bar/pub, which would obviously be Irish themed, but I would have a manager for the place. I would also write books about my travels, some sort of theme like, travel for couples, or where to have the most fun in _______ city/country. Since I already have money, why do something I do not enjoy and consider it work.
Also, I would travel with an entourage of really hot chicks, maybe in coordination with the AP Bikini Team and the USO, to Iraq, Afghanistan or any other war zone, and meet the troops, bring them care packages and let them hang with the hot chicks I would bring with me. I would give the troops ipod's, laptops and other things to keep them sane, make them feel like home and to do their job better. I would start a foundation where soldiers could come for money instead of getting payday loans at super high interest rates. (this is actually a really big problem in the military).
Add all this on top of the post I already made.
