So Fedex attempted to operate yesterday. After being closed over the weekend, and shut down for weather on monday. Yesterday was the first official operating day. Keep in mind that Chicago is not used to the weather that has been here the last few days. Any guesses on how many trucks started? 8 out of 50+ Yeah it wasnt a good day, so deliveries and pickups have been piling up for the last 3 days, fri/mon/tue. This shit ought to get real interesting today, as someone has the idea that we can clear the back log in 1 day
i think people forgot it is wednesday and we still have to work today
8 out of 50. ouch. that is pretty disatrous.

they had all but 4 or 5 running by the end of the day yesterday
I don't even really care about the cold anymore.
It's the ice on the roads I'm sick of.
Salt won't work, so they haven't done anything but blow.
So the little snow that was left has been packed down into ice.
And I'm sick of 2+ hours of driving to and from work.
:killme:
alot of the Ford Dealers up there in, and around Chicago, haven't had parts delivered in several days.

thats what happened with the roads here last night. sheets of ice. took me like 4 minutes today. maybe even 5.

If it wouldn't take me 3 weeks to drive out of Michigan, and probably another 3 weeks to drive to where ever you are, I'd come punch you in the gut for that one.
