I've got one of those, the old ones that's a weirdly positioned cubes.
It's pretty sweet. I have all my movies in VOB format on a shared hard drive on a computer.
It'll play all those, and let me watch NetFlix. Those are the 2 big uses I get from it.
But there are a ton of other apps you can get on it.
I think the new ones can get TV through it, and can act as a DVR, or PVR, and the recorded shows can shared like a cloud service over the internet.
