What kills me are the people that bought home standby units after Irene last fall (or a few years ago) but haven't started it since. Now expect it to start up with absolutely no maintenance over the past year and run with no problems.

Those are the people that we will be dealing with over the next week or so, and because these people have money they expect to have top priority. Then they start writing letters because they had to wait a few days when hospitals, government agencies and critical data backup locations are down hard with no grid or backup power. :roll:
We quoted a customer a 40 hour project to build him a disaster recovery system off site. This was a year ago.
