I know not a lot of people live in this area, but if you do or pass through the area you should look for Flying Dog beer. I came across a six pack of their Raging Bitch a few weeks ago and it was awesome. When I noticed they were in Maryland I made it a point to take a trip down there this weekend.

Apparently they aren't allowed to give out samples unless you are on the tour which is booked until July. I didn't know this until I got there, but they walked me in the back and said "We make beer and we are in Maryland." Then the guy handed me glasses and tokens for tasting and told me that was the short tour.

The beer there was great and there were so many different kinds to choose from. I don't know how far out they distribute but if you see it definitely pick up some.

I've seen some of those around here, I may have had the In Heat Wheat before.
I'll have to give it a try.

I can't speak for their wheat beer. I did not try that.

yuck.
one drink, and it gave me dry heaves. I tried to wash out the nastiness with some MGD, but it left this nasty taste, that will forever be stuck in my mind. I actually woke up this morning, and could still taste this shit, like a terrible nightmare. So fucking gross. I'm not even going to try to give this away. I will use the remaining 5 bottles for target practice.

So reading the reviews, people seem to tolerate this beer. Maybe it's a different style, that I will never like? I tried an amber bock, and found it to be equally disgusting a few months ago.
