OK, so I went to my favorite Torrent site today, BTJunkie.org, and they decided to shut down. I really liked how they did things, organized things and the ease of reading their file info.

So now I need a new go to site. I really want to avoid piratebay.

So what are some good ones that are non membership?
Check your PM bro
I use Kat.ph
Joe, I like how that one is set up, even nicer than btjunkie was.
I use http://www.demonoid.me/ but I think it is by invite. Let me know if you want an invite and I will figure out what I need to do to get you one...
Seriously....if you use a public or semi-public tracker these days it's just a matter of time until you get jammed up with a DMCA notice. Both the MPAA and RIAA are actively seeding their own material just to snag you up. I wouldn't even count on a proxy to protect you fully. Private, and by private I mean really private, sites are the only way to do this safely.

I got busted using private with Peerblock. So far so good with using a proxy.

I could use some help with setting up a proxy.

The Pirate Bay plans to stop serving .torrent files for most files in its database on Feb. 29.

This does not mean that the resilient torrent indexing service is shutting down; it’s just moving on from serving torrent files to magnet links, which let users download the actual torrent file (and, consequently, the actual file they want to download) directly from their peers.

BitTorrent Live: Cheap, Real-Time P2P Video Streaming That Will Kill TV
