my pickup had remote start. it was stick shift. I used to leave it in gear, and start it, then watch it run shit over. I took it off because my kids liked to start it, and watch it run shit over too.
i would avoid the remote starts that cost only 100. They should cost about 300 for decent quality and that dont just start themselves

this, and get a 2 way one so that you get confirmation that it started. we have a garage and a car starter, but it gets fucking cold here sometimes
